Ray Allen, Certified Advanced Rolfer & Craniosacral Therapist
Ray Allen is an Advanced Rolfer and Craniosacral Therapist who employs a variety of bodywork that focus on the hands-on manipulation of the body’s system of connective tissue called fascia. Through the progressive release of restrictions in the fascia, the body is helped to reclaim its natural equilibrium, increase its adaptive capacity, and free its potential energy. As these conditions are increasingly realized, the body is able to function with greater economy and most importantly, have a greater ability to self-correct and heal.
Ray Allen holds a Master of Fine Arts and has had a distinguished career as a college leader and educator. Since receiving his certification from the Rolf Institute in 2003, he has practiced Rolfing Structural Integration® in Baltimore. He is licensed to practice in Maryland. In 2013, he was certified as an Advanced Rolfer®.
Additionally, he has studied CST at the Upledger Institute and has a Certificate from Colorado Cranial Institute where he studied with Jim Asher. Asher was one of Ida Rolf’s original students and among the first teachers she trained. Colorado Cranial Institute is now closed due to Asher’s advanced age. Allen has personally received cranial work every month for twenty years, so his knowledge of its power is firsthand!
